Project Background

World Vision Development Foundation, Inc. (WVDF) is a global Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to improving the lives of children, their families, and their communities. Their Sponsor a Child program is one of their most critical initiatives, directly connecting donors with children in need across the Philippines.

World Vision engaged Dthree Digital to design and develop the Sponsor a Child pages for their Philippine website—pages that needed to convert visitors into sponsors while honoring the dignity and stories of the children featured.

The Challenge

Sponsorship pages carry an unusual design tension: they must be emotionally compelling enough to drive action while remaining respectful and authentic. The user experience needed to make it easy for potential sponsors to find and connect with a child, understand the impact of their sponsorship, and complete the process without friction.

World Vision also brought in an American analytics and conversion optimization partner to ensure the design met global best practices for donor conversion. Our work needed to align with both the client's humanitarian mission and the data-driven optimization requirements of their international partner.

Our Approach

We started with detailed sitemaps and wireframes focused on the sponsorship user journey. The design phase prioritized clarity and emotional resonance—clean layouts that let the children's stories take center stage, with clear calls to action at every decision point.

Our front-end team built fully responsive pages optimized for both desktop and mobile, knowing that a significant portion of potential sponsors browse on their phones. The development emphasized fast load times and smooth interactions, particularly on the child selection and sponsorship commitment flows. Quality assurance included cross-browser testing and content curation to ensure every child profile was presented consistently and accurately.

The Result

The Sponsor a Child pages launched as a seamless extension of World Vision's Philippine website, designed to serve the organization's mission of connecting donors with children who need support. The pages reflect both the emotional gravity of the cause and the technical rigor needed for a high-converting donation experience.
